Galleries Curator
Charlie Levine is UCA Galleries Curator working across all three campus sites and programming UCA’s James Hockey Gallery and Herbert Read Gallery.
Bio
Charlie Levine is a curator working in the UK, USA and India. She obtained an MA in Critical and Contextual Art Practices from Birmingham City University in 2006 after which she started her curatorial career as founder and director of TROVE, an independent art gallery in Birmingham, which ran from 2009 to 2013.
Levine’s research themes include working site responsively to tell histories and stories through art interventions, looking at the domestic as a curatorial / exhibition making space and researching curatorial methodologies as seen through her recent work as director and podcast host of the Institute of Curiosity & Curating, curator of The Tale Tellers, and her curatorial archive project, PlanChest.
She is currently Galleries Curator at University of the Creative Arts and co-director of SqW:Lab in Mumbai.
